Our Defense Exercise has evolved: drawing on over six years of experience implementing industry-leading, immersive defense training, UTAC is proud to introduce UTAC-X!
UTAC-X,an experimental capability assessment, isa no-cost, purpose-built, operator-focused technology experiment supporting warfighter-driven innovation around unmanned systems and augmenting capabilities. UTAC-X has been developed as a standalone experiment to augment the annual three-day UTAC immersive training event: U.S. warfighters and NATO partner forces can attend both for a comprehensive training and tech validation experience with a General Admission pass or participate only in UTAC-X at no cost.
UTAC-X is not a tradeshow. It’s a controlled, field-based experiment designed for warfighters—conventional and SOF alike—to test, assess, and validate the latest in emerging defense technologies in congested, contested, and challenging real-world environments. UTAC-X enables operators to conduct hands-on validation experiments with platforms that directly support near-peer readiness and mission agility: UxS, FPV drones, UGVs, counter-UAS systems, tactical ISR, and multi-domain enablers, among others. Open only to U.S. and NATO partner forces, UTAC-X provides a controlled, high-fidelity environment to assess emerging technologies and operational concepts through both daytime and nighttime scenarios.
Participation in the defense-focused UTAC-X technology experiment is not dependent on participation in the UTAC 2025 immersive training event. Defense operators may choose to validate technology at UTAC-X only, train alongside public safety and government attendees at UTAC 2025, or participate in both for a comprehensive training event + technology validation experiment experience.
Now in its sixth year, UTAC hosts an immersive, internationally recognized training event focused on advancing the integration of UAS, drones, robotics, unmanned systems, and tactical technologies. Built around real-world scenarios and human-machine teaming, UTAC empowers operators to sharpen mission-critical skills and evaluate emerging capabilities in dynamic, operationally relevant environments.
UTAC 2025 is designed to expose UAS pilots, drone teams, robotics operators, and technology-driven personnel to the latest in aerial and ground systems, advanced software, and mission-enhancing gear. Participants will engage directly with innovative platforms, collaborate across disciplines, and walk away with actionable insights to enhance mission readiness.
On October 30, UTAC-X will serve as the exclusive, no-cost, defense-focused extension of the event, bringing together U.S. and NATO forces for a full day of experimental capability assessment. Supported by a curated set of defense technology exhibitors, UTAC-X gives military attendees a unique opportunity to test, assess, validate, and observe new unmanned, robotic, and augmenting technologies in a fully immersive, scenario-driven environment.

“As an Australian, UTAC was a conference like no other. The hands-on aspect separates it from other conferences and provides the end user with an experience that is not available anywhere else in the world. The scenarios, instructors, and SMEs were outstanding and the conference location second to none. The information, guidance and experience I received as an attendee was a game changer for me and my organisation. Thank you UTAC. See you next year!”

“[The Interior Flight Station] was great. Not only was the instructor very knowledgeable about the Avatas but he always was very helpful on the manual FPV. He even let me fly one of his. I think that in itself is dedication, because I have never flown a manual FPV and to let this stranger fly his own for the first time is truly a great instructor.”

"The biggest differentiator of UTAC is that first responders who are using Spot share their experiences with the robot in real-life public safety scenarios. When attendees get hands-on stick time with Spot, they build confidence with the technology and more directly comprehend the value of a quadruped robot in the field."

"Attending UTAC as a vendor was an invaluable experience that afforded the Reveal Technology team the opportunity to have quality interactions with potential customers who were both end users and decision makers that fit both our market and our product."
